TOKYO - A Japanese man wielding a knife wounded 13 people Friday morning outside a railway station in Ibaraki prefecture northeast of Tokyo, the local fire department said.
"Thirteen people were wounded" by the attacker, an official at the fire department of Toride City said. "No one is dead."
Jiji Press news agency said a 49-year-old woman and 11 junior high and high school students were among the injured, though all remained conscious, and that police had arrested a 27-year-old man.
